TK Organic Farm

TanKhun Chicken Farm is run by poultry farmer K . Amnart Reansoi. Amnart has worked in the poultry industry for many years, however during his time in China he became disillusioned with the industrial nature of farming chickens and quickly thereafter made the decision to set up his own farm.

TanKhun Farm, naturally, is a place in which Amnart’s chickens are given plenty of space to roam and forage. Amnart has gone so far as to grow his own organic rice in order to ensure the fowls are given a completely organic diet. TanKhun Farm also works closely with other environmental and ethically minded producers in order to give the birds all the nutrients they require to live healthy and happy lives whilst in his care.

Because of Bo.lan’s waste management and upcycling program we have the opportunity to work closely with Amnart and are drying much of our wild seafood shells for Amnart to supplement his organic feed.

Ban San Fan

Baan San Fran holds a special place in our heart at Bo.lan, located north of Phuket near phang Na. Essentially a self funded orphanage set up in the aftermath of the December 2004 Tsunami to help the ever growing number of helpless children. Baan San Fan receives zero assistance from local government, and supports itself solely through agricultural endeavors on it's organic farm.

Not only do they raise chickens for eggs and meat, they also grow several varieties of tropical fruit and seasonal vegetables.

Udomchai Farm
Mea Gai Arom dee or Udomchai Farm advocates for free range, high welfare animals. believing rightly so that clean natural chickens translate to healthy flavorful eggs for us to consume. When you have healthy strong birds there is no need for antibiotics. The chickens on Udomchai Farm are fed a varied diet consisting of medicinal Thai herbs to ensure the high quality and safe eggs.

At Bo.lan we use eggs in many dishes but also by themselves as side dishes or accompaniments to relishes often served semi boiled with confidence! We are thrilled to see the happy healthy hens frolic in the wind.

Sloane’s

Samphran farm is a leader in Thailand when it comes to animal welfare. Samphran focuses on ethical farming practices, meaning animals are treated with medicine when, and if they are needed (not systematically). Samphran's animals are raised free range with shaded areas for the animals to escape the fierce Thai heat during the day.

Pork plays an important part in Thai cuisine and Bo.lan chooses to buy our pork via Sloane’s who cares equally about the welfare of artisans and their products.
